Awards

2024: James Suckling: 94/100 "What a beautiful nose of orange blossoms and mandarin oranges. On the medium-bodied palate, this dry pinot blanc has fantastic elegance and finesse. Very long, polished finish with terrific freshness." | Terry Theise (The World of Fine Wine): "The group of 2024 Weissburgunders are not only the best I have tasted from Müller-Catoir; they stand with the very best wines from this grape I have ever tasted."

2023: James Suckling: 94/100 "I can’t remember ever tasting a dry pinot blanc with this kind of expressive citrusy intensity. Stacks of pomelo, grapefruit and bergamot, and behind all this is a deep well of crisp pear and delicate leesy complexity. Long and very structured finish that has a riesling-like minerality. Excellent potential. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold."

2021: James Suckling: 93/100 "A very attractive dry pinot blanc with juicy pear and melon fruit that you don’t have to be Albert Einstein to understand. The bright, but by no means dominant, acidity at the crisp finish pulls you back."

2020: James Suckling: 93/100 "Cool yet effusive nose of garden peas and a wide range of white fruit, with the emphasis on pear. Only medium-bodied with spot-on balance of ripeness and elegance. The same level of balance at the long, silky finish. Drink or hold."

2019: James Suckling: 94/100 "What a beautiful nose! To say it reminds me of orange cream sounds a bit banal, but that’s roughly the direction it takes. In spite of all the ripeness, this has only medium body and an uplifting freshness that makes you feel glad to be alive. Spot on balance! And that makes it extremely food--friendly. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold." | Ronn Wiegand: 5/5 "This wine is very distinct in character, and great value. The Pinot Blanc is fragrant, medium full bodied, and crisp; a wine with intense floral-fruity flavors (pear, lemon, honeysuckle, passion fruit), excellent balance, and a very long finish. A terrific wine; warrants another year of aging."

2018: RESTAURANT WINE® Issues #190-193: 5/5 stars "An elegant Pinot Blanc of outstanding quality. It is supple in texture, yet crisp, and full bodied, with fine balance, and a medium long finish tasting of pear, white peach, lemon, and cherimoya. Great value; can be aged a bit. Unwooded. Organic. [2021-2024]"

2017: James Suckling: 93/100 | restaurantwine (Ronn Wiegand): 5/5 stars - "Terrific Pinot Blanc value, this is a round, full bodied, crisp wine with excellent balance and flavor (pear, white peach, pineapple, lemon peel), and a medium long finish. Exceptional quality and value." | Wine accompaniment at the Supperclub 2018 for "Salmon | Cucumber | Avocado"

2016: James Suckling: 92/100

2015: Robert Parker: 92/100

The vintage 2025

An early and dynamic start to the growing season, characterized by changeable spring conditions and a long, suspense-filled flowering phase. The summer proved moderately warm with regular rainfall, before giving way in late summer to more stable, drier conditions accompanied by cool nights. The harvest proceeded selectively and calmly, yielding a balanced vintage distinguished by clear, precise fruit and excellent inner tension.
